TheTAZZone - Internet Chaos

1.94 Billion Websites

When we started this back in 2005 there were 185 million websites, in 2012 there was 644 million, and currently as of January 2019 there is over 1.94 billion active websites on the Internet. To put this into perspective a person who actively participates on the Internet would have to view over 53,000 websites a day for over 100 years to view only current websites, not including the potential billions that will be created over that 100 years.

That, to me, is amazing.

The current world population is 7.7 billion as of August 2019 according to the United Nations. That means there’s approximately 1 website for every 4 people. The rate of growth of the Internet is astounding. Almost makes you wonder how anyone even finds you in this sea of websites.
