A look back at the 2021 year in review in sports. Keeping in mind that the 2021 Season for some began in 2020 or concluded in 2022. Granted there are a lot of sports events not included in this review, such as soccer, tennis, golf, college sports, skating, gymnastics, skiing, rock climbing, badminton, ping pong, skeet shooting, double-dutch, cricket, cake eating, stone skipping, just to name a few; instead I’ve decided to only list the Top 5 Professional Sports Leagues that most, this side of the pond, care about.
NFL: The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 on February 13th, 2022. The game took place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and it was the second time in Super Bowl history a team played on its home field
CFL: The 108th Grey Cup, took place in Hamilton, Ontario, on December 12th, 2021, when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33–25 in overtime
NBA: On July 20th, 2021 the Eastern Conference champion Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns, 4–2, winning their first NBA championship in 50 years and their second title overall

MLB: On November 2nd, 2021 the Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros in six games to win their second title since moving to Atlanta

NHL: On July 7th, 2021, with the Tampa Bay Lightning won their second consecutive and third overall Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the Montreal Canadiens four games to one in the Stanley Cup Finals
