MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEES
THE VOICE OF REASON IN A SEA OF WTF
Committees are formed by the Members, not the Administration,
and can be formed by any member for any reason.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEES
A GUIDELINE
Members can, at any time, for any reason,
form a Committee
A Committe must have at least 11 members
A Committee can be permanent or temporary
To be Official a permanent Committee must
have regular meetings ( at least twice
a month ) involving at least 9 members at
every meeting
To be Official a temporary Committee must
meet ( with all 11 members attending ) and
come to a formal resolution
A formal resolution is taking a topic to it’s conclusion…where all members agree
A Membership Committee cannot have more than one active Administrator in it’s ranks
WHY HAVE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEES?
AN EXPLANATION
Members have the right to not only voice their opinion/s but also implement or cause the implementation of those opinions
To do so, however, there must be a consensus on the part of the Committee
Unresolved, or issues without the full support
of the Committee cannot be considered valid
Once a Committee has reached a consensus and a conclusion it is then brought forth to the active Administrators
For final approval and implementation it must receive the rubber stamp of at least 5 ( half )
of the present 11 Administrators
All reasonable requests should have no problem getting the support of the
Administration

MODERATOR DUTIES.
IN BRIEF
Moderators are responsible for keeping their forums free from spam, acting as an advocate on the behalf of newbies, intervening to
prevent flames, making and placing relevant stickies, un-sticking old or no-longer-relevant stickies, making judgment calls like closing threads, moving threads, editing posts, PMing warnings, etc…
Moderators are chosen from the membership based upon their sensibilty, trustworthyness, and forum activity.
Generally, a member can be moved up to moderator within a very short period of time…some active moderators became moderators after only a couple months.
FORUM CLEAN-UPS
AN EXPLANATION
Every 3 or 4 months the Administration does
a general forum clean-up
Among other things this clean-up involves de-modding inactive mods, and replacing positions with new moderators.
During this clean-up moderators can request new positions, and members can request moderator positions.
Changes and alterations are at the sole discretion of the Administrator performing the forum clean-up.
Disputes regarding the clean-up can be taken
up with the Administrator performing the clean-up or through a Committee.
The Church of The Wandering Turtle
Is not for those who have already made up and closed their mind…this is the open discovery of the truth…whatever that truth professes to be. Ignorance is not conducive to understanding. Get in Touch with the Administration
