I am sure most of you have heard this, in one form or another. The basic meaning to me is that if I have a bad attitude I will have a bad day. Is this Karma? No, I do not believe so. I believe that if I look for the bad that is all that I will see. Conversely, if I look for the good in situations, people and all around me, that is what will be highlighted for me each day.
We all have a finite number of seconds in a day … I don’t want to waste my time being an Eeyore … “Good Morning … If it is a good morning,” he said. “Which I doubt,” … I want to be a Peter Pan … ‘You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!’ I want to spend my time wisely.
Can you imagine standing with $100 bills in your hand and lighting them on fire? Makes you shudder to think of it, right? Well, if you have a downtrodden attitude … you are wasting your precious time … just like burning money and watching it turn to smoke and ash. On the other hand, with a positive attitude, picture the same $100 bills … put to work to make more money or help someone in need … and that makes you smile and have the warm fuzzies.
Our time on this Earth is precious. Live life, Laugh often, Love much! In Latin ‘Vivi! Ridi! Ama!‘ You’ll be amazed how much changing your attitude will lift you up … why not try to increase your altitude daily!
“Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.” Carl Sandburg
