Title:  TheTAZZone Network of Sites

TheTAZZone.com was founded on December 24th, 2005 by Egaladeist and DaFoxx ( foxyloxley ).  Who tried to establish the first true member-run community on the Internet.

Our forum members have established Committees and played a significant role in the development and direction of TAZforum.

Our website/s grew out of a desire to give our members ‘ free perks ‘ that they could take advantage of…thus we developed a substantial list of games and avatars/smileys that we host on site for our member’s convenience.

Members and friends have contributed 100’s of security/hacking tutorials and videos, as well as several easy to read Photoshop and Networking tutorials.

There are also 100’s of FREE to Use photos available to members for use on their blogs and websites.

All these services are equally available to non-members…for FREE…with certain restrictions.  We request that if a non-member uses any of our services they abide by ‘ fair use ‘ and credit us with a link.

No membership is required, no cost ever, we will never ask you to provide us with personal info or passwords…etc…

All our websites are closed to user registration, however if you would like to register as a contributing member we will consider it. Our forums are all open for registration and you are welcome to join.

Our members of  TAZforum are experts in the field of Internet Security and are more than capable of answering any questions you might have, and are a very friendly and laid back group that will make you feel right at home. Be prepared though, we do like to get silly.

We are also available on Twitter and Blip.

You will never come across any site on the Internet quite as unique as TheTAZZone…we are, one of a kind…and we hope you bookmark us and come back often.

We also love comments ( bad or good we like em’ all ) …and we respond to most fairly quickly ( those that need response ).

so the competition to succeed is ferocious to say the least.

Very few websites make huge strides without tons of capital behind them…small budget or no budget sites have very little promise of success…however some do make it.

Most of the most popular websites were popular companies before the Internet…such as the New York Times, Sony, Walmart, etc…companies that brought their off-line success onto the Net. Some of the most popular website/services became popular on the Net…having no previous existence outside of the Net…such as Google, Firefox, AVG, etc…by providing a service that could be used by everyone to better their enjoyment of the Net.

But…for most of us…success on the Internet is a daily struggle…to keep your place or rise above it in an ever-increasing sea of sites that are vying for that same attention.

Our own site has seen and participated in that struggle…going from an Alexa rating of over 800,000 our first year…to just over 190,000…back up to 400,000…back down to 170,000…and presently sitting just under 200,000…with no capital spending…just hard work, a little luck, and the consumption of a mass amount of time.

A rating of 200,000, or thereabouts, is a respectable figure for any site, but it wasn’t easy…and it takes a lot of work to stay there…especially when you do not have deep pockets.

To succeed on the Internet today…is the same or more difficult than succeeding in the off-line world…ultimately you want to have very deep pockets, a great idea, and a workable plan…barring that, you want to have a lot of time to invest, a great idea, and an extrodinary plan…

or a whole lotta luck.

If you are selling/promoting a product, website, or service to whom are you selling/promoting it to? Who generally buys it? What age group? These are all things you need to consider before spending a dime in advertising.

Are you marketing your product to men or women? Americans or Australians? To kids, adults, or senior citizens?

Obviously if you are marketing a website that caters to teenagers you don’t want to advertise on a site that sells wheelchairs and walkers…no matter how great the price is to advertise there.

If you’re marketing your web design services you want to advertise on sites that cater to the 20-45 crowd.

If you’re marketing software you want to advertise on computer-based sites that cater to tech-minded people.

Don’t throw money into a wasted effort…think, before you buy.

But…if you want traffic, and you want it now, you have to advertise…there’s no way around this.

Promoting your site on your own using free services out there ( that we will discuss another time ) you can help generate some traffic…but even that has a cost…the cost of time…you can spend hours over days and even weeks or months using free traffic vehicles and still get only a spattering of traffic.

Advertising is really the only vehicle you have available that will generate decent traffic fast…how much traffic will highly depend upon how much you are willing to spend.

And more importantly…how smart you are in spending it.

mind you these may be free but they still involve a cost…if you place any value on your time…

there are places where you can issue ‘ press releases ‘ …these free press releases will draw some traffic to your site if you do up something people will want to read.

There are ‘ directories ‘ where you can add your link and site information for free…they won’t produce much traffic but they will help get your site out there for people to find.

Beware…link farms…they will not help you and can sometimes hurt you. Also avoid places that offer you automatic submission…most real directories consider automated submission sites as spam houses…you’re better off taking the time and submitting your site manually.
