It’s ON! Mayweather vs McGregor

Well the shock never ends in McGregor’s World. The fight that no one , including Dana White, said would ever be done, is done. After a year, or so, of hype and trash talking, they put it together, signed sealed and delivered.  August the 26th at the T-Mobile Arena.  And with the cash cow this is going to be I doubt nothing short of an act of God is going to prevent it from happening.

The fight will be at 154lbs which favors McGregor, but with 10 ounce gloves which will favor Mayweather. Overall, very few people give McGregor any chance against Mayweather, and with good reason, McGregor has never had a professional boxing match in his life, and he’s going up against, albeit, arguably the best boxer in the World, ever. At most, they give McGregor a punchers chance to KO Mayweather, if he is even able to hit him.

But, you can’t count McGregor out, he has proven time and time again that he is able to predict and do the impossible, every time people count him out he proves them wrong.  With the one exception of the 1st Diaz fight. However that was at a weight class he had never fought at before, and against a larger opponent than he had ever faced. Still, he managed to win the 2nd fight.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. Clearly McGregor has nothing to lose and everything to gain, worst case scenario he loses a fight he isn’t even expected to win and cashes out big time. He will likely make more money with this fight than all his other purses combined, multiplied several times.

The only loser will be Mayweather. Who has nothing to gain from this fight but money. If he loses to someone who has never boxed professionally, or even if he wins and this goes the distance, that will not only tarnish his record but the whole of boxing. Obviously, he thinks there’s no chance of that happening.

We will find out on August the 26th.
