Some days you hear a song or two and your mind goes back through time. It is amazing what music will bring to mind. I started out on one of those journeys back in time today. I think it is a good thing to do on occasion.

Remembering where you were, who you were with, the dreams you had for the future. I was young without a clue where I wanted to go in life. As the memories flow along, key decisions that were made and changed my path stand out.

Friends and family that stuck by you, or didn’t as the case may be, all bring a plethora of thoughts and feelings to the fore. Wondering where some are, knowing where to find a few. Going on to find more music of days gone by to encourage more memories to come to mind.

It is a bittersweet time when I indulge this mood. Things I would change if I could … but then some of my greatest achievements would go undone, I believe. Once again coming to terms with who I am in my entirety … concocted from countless moments that have woven, and continue to weave, the tapestry that is my life.

If you haven’t slowed down to have ‘a reckoning’ moment lately, perhaps you will indulge in one soon. It helps clear the cobwebs and put you back in focus regarding the where you were, where you are and where you want to go aspects of every day life.

My Life Motto: Live, Laugh, Love! My 3 children and 4 grandchildren are my heart! These are the important things to me. I have done many diverse things throughout my work and life: too much to add here. I try to stay positive in a world where negative seems to be the norm. That's not to say you won't see a rant or two in my posts :-)

  1. Music always reminds me of moments in my past, some great, some not so great. But mostly it reminds me of where we were and how much we lost. We were dreamers who thought we could change the World, but then the World gave us a reality check, and we realized that change is a slow moving entity.

We changed some things for the better, and lost in other areas. Change is never free, it always comes with a cost. 😉
