For approximately two weeks people took to the street in Nigeria to protest the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, and on October 12th attempted to barricade the road at the Lekki Toll Plaza in Lagos. The State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu imposed a 24 hour curfew and sent out anti-riot squads into the streets.

According to one witness the military rolled in and the witness said he heard shooting for as long as 30 mins and saw multiple bodies laying on the ground.
