COMMON SENSE and PORNOGRAPHY
Any image that deplicts children un-clothed ( exception being standard baby pictures ) or in a sexual manner, either in photo or in image is not allowed;

any image that deplicts an adult/s engaged in any sexual or sexually suggestive manner is not allowed ( donkeys, sheep, rabbits, or other creatures are OK );
artistic photos or pictures that are either not normally intended as sexual or sexually suggestive or are for artistic purposes only are allowed;

funny pictures are allowed within reason, provided thay are within the realm of common sense;

FLAMING and INSULTS
Insults and flaming are not allowed and will be edited or deleted upon being noticed. personal PMs to the member being edited/deleted will no longer be necessary in this regard as the rules are very clear as to what is and is not acceptable.

What is insults and flaming?
Any direct attack upon another member that involves a personal attack that is not meant as humor among friends.

eg.

you’re a F**kin’ a**hole
suck my d*ck
get a life you f**kin’ moron
I f**ked your mother last night
you’re a pri*k
if you were any smarter you might be a f**kin’ imbicile

these are to be deleted/edited on sight.
What is not insults and flaming?

Sounds like alot of childish whining on your part.
That is the problem with people taking your mentality on security

it’s okay for you to be “Pratronising and Condescending” to other’s in the other threads, but when someone insults you, you fall back and whine about the rules….
And as to the insults. I don’t see it as insults, rather opinions. ***** feels that ***** doesn’t understand security, and ***** feels that no one other than he understands security.

These are considered comments. There’s a difference between saying to someone you’re clueless go read a book and you’re a f^ckin’ idiot …and that’s the standard which should be applied by everyone.

In the event of a situation that falls between the two extremes the Administration and Forum Moderators will always err on the side of caution…better to edit a potentially offensive remark than to leave it there and allow it to potentially snowball into a flame war.

SWEARING and OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE
Swearing is allowed to a degree in the Public Forums; but excessive swearing will be edited/deleted.
Comments that may be considered offensive eg. general comments of a racial, cultural naure made in an offensive way will automatically be deleted if made in the Public Forums.

Swearing or offensive comments made in the Non-public Forums will be left to the Mods discretion.

WAREZ and LINKS
Warez is not allowed in the Public Forums…it however is discussed in the Non-Public Forums. We do not endorse warez, but we do review it in private. Any link that is potentially dangerous or viril must be broken; and any link that promotes illegal activity or porn or is not otherwise work safe must be broken.

DELETING POSTS and THREADS
Most posts and threads are NOT to be deleted…they are to be moved to the Graveyard…only in extreme cases are posts or threads to be deleted.

CONDUCT concerning NEW MEMBERS
New Members are to be treated with the utmost respect…and be welcomed into the TAZ family. In virtually every case they are to be given the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. However, in the rare case where the person has proven himself/herself to be void of any sense or character…it’s open season. 

VIOLATION and DISRUPTION of the RULES
Those who break or otherwise violate the rules, or disrupt the TAZ by other means will be dealt with accordingly.
Depending upon the severity different measures will be considered, from a PM to more drastic measures.

Generally, it is a policy to deal with the problem directly, privately, and resolve it to everyone’s satisfaction…however…
the membership will be involved in the discussions, decisions and implementation of any disciplinary action that may need to be enforced.

MODERATORS and APPOINTMENTS
To become a general moderator ( getting your name in green ) you must be recommended by an Administrator or a Forum Moderator and confirmed by at least two other Administrators and/or Forum Moderators.

FORUM MODERATORS and RECOMMENDATIONS
All forum moderators will be by the recommendation of an existing forum moderator from the general moderator pool; if three forum moderators confirm the recommendation the member will become a forum moderator and assigned a forum.

FORUM CLEAN-UP
Every 3-4 months the Administration will conduct a Forum Clean-up…any old stickies, announcements will be un-stickied /un-announced…inactive mods will be de-modded …inactive Forum Mods will be removed as Forum Mods, and possibly replaced if necessary…to ensure the Forum remains up to date.

FORUM MODERATORS in the NON-PUBLIC FORUMS
Global Mods are automatically assigned as the forum moderators of the NON-PUBLIC FORUMS. 

GLOBAL MODERATORS and ELECTIONS
All Global Moderators are elected from the whole membership via vote, which is held annually. They are elected in 3 sections ( North America, Europe and Central, and Australia and Asia ), and are chosen as candidates from the moderator base by the Administrators.

Six spots are available, the member with the most votes chosen from each category and the next three with the most votes from any category.

ADMINISTRATORS
Administrators run the day-to-day operations of the TAZForum and TheTAZZone, act as liasons, and peace-keepers.

POST/CONTENT OWNERSHIP
Members retain the rights to the content they submit, as the members are the TAZ, the content rights remains theirs to copy, sell, redistribute as they will.
However, members are not allowed to remove content once it becomes a part of the TAZ,

as removing content may affect the integrity of the site, the forums, or disturb the enjoyment or edification of other members.
The TAZ is not allowed to sell, copy, or redistribute any content without the expressed oral, exchanged, or written permission of the content provider..
