Well, here we’re at it again…and once again there are a lot of good songs about Tuesday so it wasn’t easy to pick just ten, but we did it. But we’re not specifying an order of importance…so here they are…

Rolling Stones – Ruby Tuesday (recorded in 1966 and released in 1967 it was a song about his girlfriend Linda Keith who had left him for Jimi Hendrix )

The Moody Blues – Tuesday Afternoon ( from their 1967 album ‘ Days of Future Passed ‘ as ‘ Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?) ‘, it was released as a single in 1968 with it’s original name ‘ Tuesday Afternoon ‘ )

Counting Crows – On a Tuesday in Amsterdam Long Ago ( from their 2008 album ‘ Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings ‘ )

Badfinger – Sweet Tuesday Morning ( from their ‘ Straight Up  ‘ album release in 1971, which was their second highest Billboard album after ‘ No Dice ‘ )

Lynyrd Skynyrd -Tuesdays Gone ( from 1973 it’s the second track of their first album )

Cowboy Junkies – Sun Comes Up, It’s Tuesday Morning ( from their 1990 album release ‘ the Caution Horses ‘ )

Stone Temple Pilots – Church on Tuesday ( from their certified Platinum 4th album titled ‘ No.4 ‘ – their other albums were not numbered )

The Smithereens – Groovy Tuesday ( from their 3rd album released in 1986 entitled ‘ Especially for You ‘ and their first full-length album, in Kurt Cobain’s journal he noted this album as being one of his favorites )

Cat Stevens – Tuesday’s Dead  ( from his 1971 album ‘ Teaser and the Firecat ‘ which was also the name of a children’s book he wrote and illustrated in 1972 )

The Pogues – Tuesday Morning ( from their 1993 album ‘ Waiting for Herb ‘ this song was their 3rd and last top 20 single, and their biggest International hit )

    Great selection, Tazz! Tuesday Afternoon by the Moody Blues has always been a big favorite of mine.
